Toggle Alert

Switches an alert, or a whole alert set, on and off. The key shows which it currently is: bright when enabled, dimmed when disabled.
This is the "modes" key. One press puts your chaos alerts on, another takes them off, and you can see at a glance which way round it is.

The state is live. If something else changes it - the app's own Alerts page, or another alert's Toggle Alert action - the key follows within a second. It is a status light as much as a switch.
Toggle, Enable or Disable
Toggle is the obvious choice and usually the wrong one if the key has a partner.
If you have a "chaos on" key and a "chaos off" key, set one to Enable and the other to Disable. Two Toggle keys pointed at the same set will eventually disagree with each other, because either one can be pressed twice.
Use Toggle when a single key is the only thing that touches that alert.
Alerts vs Alert Sets
A set key affects every alert inside the set at once, which is normally what you want for a mode.
Remember how sets gate firing: an alert that belongs to one or more sets needs at least one of them enabled before it can fire. So:
- Disabling a set only silences an alert if that alert has no other enabled set.
- Enabling an alert that sits in a disabled set does not make it fire. The set has to be on too.

Common Uses
A chaos mode switch
Put your loud alerts in a set called Chaos Mode, leave the set disabled, and give it one key. Press before you want it, press again when you have had enough.
Away mode
A key set to Disable on your Device Alerts set, pressed before you leave the room. Pair it with an Enable key for coming back. Two keys, no ambiguity.
A status light you cannot press by accident
There is no press-does-nothing option here, but a key set to Enable cannot turn something off, which is usually the mistake worth preventing mid-stream.
Things to Watch For
Changes are permanent. This writes the same enabled flag the app's own toggle does. If a set is off when you close TipLink, it is still off when you open it. Worth a glance at the Alerts page if something has mysteriously stopped working.
The key cannot toggle a deleted alert. It keeps showing the name it remembered, but a press flashes ✗. Re-pick the target.
