TikTok Live

Connect a TikTok Live channel to TipLink to receive events like Gifts, new Followers, Likes, and chat messages during your live streams.

Reconnecting an existing account?

Simply follow the Set-up Instructions section again. You do not need to remove the account first.

TikTok Live requires an active stream

TipLink can only receive TikTok events while the channel is currently broadcasting live. Events will not arrive when the channel is offline.

Set-up Instructions

1. Open TipLink and navigate to the Platforms page using the sidebar.

2. Click TikTok Live at the top of the page.

3. A popup will open within TipLink. Enter the TikTok Username of the channel you want to monitor.

   • Enter just the username — do not include the @ symbol.
   • Example: if the TikTok profile URL is https://www.tiktok.com/@myusername, enter myusername.

4. Click Create Account and wait for TipLink to process the information.

   • If the username is invalid, an error message will appear.
   • If successful, the popup will close and your new account will appear in the list.

TikTok Live is now connected to TipLink!

Managing Your TikTok Live Account

1. Open TipLink and navigate to the Platforms page.
2. Find your TikTok account in the list and click the configure button (person + gear icon).

From here you can manage:

• Auto Connect — Enable this to automatically connect this account when TipLink starts.
• Excluded Events — Prevent specific event types from being recorded (e.g. exclude Chat Messages).
• Delete Account — Permanently remove this account connection from TipLink.

Connecting Your Account

1. Open TipLink.
2. On the Home or Platforms page, click Connect next to your TikTok Live account.
3. TipLink will attempt to join the live stream connection.
   • If successful, the button will turn red and show Disconnect.
   • If the channel is not currently live, the connection will fail and the button will remain green.

Start the stream first

TikTok Live connections only work while you're broadcasting. Make sure your TikTok Live stream has started before clicking Connect.

Supported Events

When connected and live, TipLink can receive the following event types from TikTok Live:

Event Type	Description
Gift	A viewer sends a TikTok Gift
Follow	A viewer follows the channel during the live
Like	Viewers sending likes (batched)
New Viewer / Join	A viewer joins the stream
Chat Message	A message sent in the live chat
Subscribe	A viewer becomes a subscriber

Removal Instructions

1. Open TipLink and navigate to the Platforms page.
2. Find your TikTok Live account and click the configure button (person + gear icon).
3. Click Delete Account in the top-right of the configuration window.
4. Confirm the removal when prompted.
