Alert Sets

Alert Sets are named groups that help you organise your alerts. When you have many alerts, sets make it easy to find and manage related ones together.

Alert Sets are organisational only

Alert Sets do not change how alerts fire. They are purely a labelling and filtering tool for the Alerts page.

What Is an Alert Set?

An Alert Set is like a folder or tag for your alerts. You create a set (e.g. "Charity Stream" or "PiShock Alerts"), assign alerts to it, and then filter the Alerts page to show only that set.

Creating an Alert Set

  1. Go to the Alerts page in the sidebar.
  2. Click the filter icon (🔽) in the top toolbar.
  3. Click Manage Alert Sets.
  4. Click Create New Set.
  5. Enter a name for the set (e.g. "Fundraiser Alerts").
  6. Click Save.

Assigning Alerts to a Set

  1. Open or create an Alert.
  2. In the alert edit view, find the Alert Set field.
  3. Select the set(s) to assign this alert to.
  4. Save the alert.

An alert can belong to multiple sets simultaneously.

Filtering by Alert Set

  1. On the Alerts page, click the filter icon (🔽) in the top toolbar.
  2. Select the Alert Set you want to view.
  3. Only alerts belonging to that set will be shown.

Click the filter button again (or select "All Alerts") to clear the filter and show everything.

Tips

  • Use Alert Sets to separate alerts for different stream types (e.g. "Regular Streams" vs "Charity Events").
  • If you run themed streams, create a set per theme and toggle between them using the filter.
  • Alert Sets work alongside the alert ordering — reorder still applies within the filtered view.
