Creating Alerts to respond to Events

So that TipLink knows what to do when a new event is received, we need to create "Alerts". If you're a streamer, you can think of these as being similar to Alerts you might see in your stream overlay.

  1. An Event is received.
  2. TipLink will try to match the Event against your pre-determined list of Alerts.
  3. If an Alert is matching the Event's details, the Actions triggered with your Alert will be processed.
  4. All Events are processed chronologically, in the order they're received.
  5. Alerts are considered in the list's order shown.
info

If more than one Alert matches an incoming Event, only the first matching Alert will run. Duplicates will be ignored.

Go to the "Home" icon in the sidebar menu, and click the "Connect" button for your platform of choice.

Once connected, your application is listening for new incoming events.

info

TipLink cannot import old events unless they're manually replayed through your connected platform (where supported).
