Connect a Device
TipLink can trigger physical devices in response to stream events — like shocking, vibrating, or beeping a wearable device when a viewer donates.
This section covers how to connect third-party hardware devices to TipLink so they can be controlled by your alerts.
Supported Devices
| Device | Description |
|---|---|
| PiShock | A Wi-Fi-connected shock collar controller. Supports shock, vibrate, and beep modes. |
| OpenShock | An open-source alternative to PiShock with similar shock/vibrate/beep capabilities. |
How It Works
- Set up your device account — Connect your PiShock or OpenShock account to TipLink (see the guide for your device below).
- Connect your device — Activate the connection from the Platforms page.
- Create an Alert — Add a PiShock or OpenShock action to any alert.
- Configure intensity and duration — Set fixed values, random ranges, or dynamic curves that scale with the event value (e.g. donation amount).
Device Setup Guides
Safety first
Always test at low intensity (1–10%) before using device actions in a live stream. Never use device actions without the consent of all parties involved.
